A weekend of Transformational Yoga with Catherine Annis:
Need some time out to breathe, slow down and let go? Join Catherine Annis for a weekend of transformational yoga. There will be four sessions of yoga over the weekend, with plenty of time between for hiking along the clifftops to Birling Gap, beachside strolls or even swimming, if you’re brave enough! The yoga is inspired by the work of Vanda Scaravelli, and encourages the unwinding of long held tensions to reveal the natural flexibility of the body. Classes unfold gently, focusing on alignment and individual exploration, working to restore freedom and ease in your movement .
The retreat will be particularly helpful for anyone working with spinal and postural issues, and for those seeking an antidote to busy stressful lives.
From £275 per person earlybird price, for bookings before 30th May 2019.
Catherine is a senior teacher and course director of Intelligent Yoga Teacher Training Course (IYTT), the leading anatomy focused yoga teacher training course with Peter Blackaby and Gary Carter. She is well known for her imaginative and practical approach to yoga. Originally a professional dancer, she discovered yoga as a teenager, and has been practicing for more than 30 years. Having explored Sivananda, Iyengar, Ashtanga and various forms of Hatha yoga, she eventually gravitated to the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli, and has created one of the few Scaravelli inspired yoga teacher training intensives. Catherine’s daily yoga practice and teaching focuses on deepening physical awareness and alignment to reveal and release the natural freedom of the body, particularly the spine. She holds a Masters degree in ballet studies and is a qualified Thai massage practitioner, and it is this interest in the body which informs and inspires her teaching.
