Nordic Walking and Yoga with Hilary Warrell:

Treat yourself to a digital detox, away from routine, with plenty of time to immerse yourself in nature, invigorating coastal walks, nourishing yoga, freshly prepared nutritious vegetarian food, reflective time & laughs in the company of like-minded souls. £280 per person in shared dormitory accommodation. If you have not tried Nordic Walking before Hil will be giving plenty of tips on how to use the poles for maximum benefit. Exploratory, fun, functional yoga sessions suitable for both beginners & more experienced. Particular focus on FEET!

This is a very loose framework & will be very fluid depending on the participants/weather etc, & it is ALL optional. It is a stunning location & of course you are welcome to just chill in the grounds, take yourself off for a wander, etc…

Friday 24th April
4pm onwards arrive at Gayles retreat for a social cuppa/explore
6-7.30pm gentle yoga to help unwind & release our bodies after the journey down (or the week we’ve had!)
7.45pm supper
Saturday 25th April
8.30 -10 am yoga –  ‘making friends with our feet’  – finding our foundations, & integrating our feet back into the rest of the body
10.15 -11.15 am brunch
12 – 3/4pm  nordic walking exploration along the coast with Jacqui, our ‘green witch’ –
Jacqui is passionate about plants and everything they offer us – a vegan cook and a Green Witch, she looks to nature to bring joy, nourishment and healing for mind, body and soul. Working with herbs, flower waters, essential oils and wild plants, Jacqui will join us on a walk and share the ‘old knowledge’ of plants that Green Witches work with, identifying everyday hedgerow plants that have magic and medicinal properties. After the walk we will together prepare some plants that we have sustainably foraged to nurture our feet and legs after walking, a foot scrub, a magnesium foot bath or a moisturising oil, over a delicious herbal brew.
7pm supper
9 – 10 pm options to explore yoga nidra (yoga sleep), go to bed, reflection around the fire pit ( weather dependent!)
Sunday 26th April
7.45 – 9 am breath awareness & ‘waking up gently’ yoga
9.15am breakfast
10.30 – 1pm coastal walk
2 – 3pm lunch
Depart by 4pm latest
